Michael Also is a NY performer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who has been producing and performing for 15+ years. He has played several legendary and local venues including The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Tarrytown Music Hall, The Space at Westbury, Osprey's Dominion Winery, The Cutting Room, and more!
Michael started playing guitar at age 5 and has picked up voice, piano, bass, and drums ever since. His work has been recognized by Justin Hayward (The Moody Blues), Greg Lake (ELP, King Crimson), Zedd, and Beatles' sound engineer Geoff Emerick to name a few.
For almost 10 years, Michael has been working hand in hand with Music Director Godfrey Townsend (The Yardbirds, Alan Parsons Project, The Turtles, Jack Bruce, John Entwistle) both on and off the stage.
In 2018, Michael was asked to join the Here Comes the Sun Tribute program alongside Godfrey Townsend and narrator Joshua Greene (Yogesvara). The program focuses on the spiritual and musical journey of George Harrison. Michael was brought on to help with the production and play all those great bits that fans know and love.
In 2019, Michael joined the Jann Klose Band as lead guitarist and backing vocalist.
Michael has produced and recorded with NY bands Towards Violet and This Loch Ness Monster and continues to work on Solo and side projects that come his way.
In 2020, Michael co-founded music/film podcast, Making Sound With Jann Klose, producing 3 seasons and +50 episodes that continue to chart worldwide.
In 2022, Michael was invited to join 20th Century Classics alongside Joe DeJesu (Michael DelGuidice, The Cans), Dan Wood (The Cans), and Jim Del (Doobie Others, Sir Elton Tribute, 2112 Rush Tribute). The group Livestreams on Facebook and is booking more public/private events.
Michael recently became a featured host on The British Electric Blues 5150 Show, where he employs his production and musical expertise to deconstruct and demonstrate classic albums like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Eric Clapton's 24 Nights, and more.
